''The oldest wool mill in the world is found in a small town nested at the foot of the Alps. For more than 275 years it has been handing down from father to son, the art of lovingly crafting the finest fabrics. The fabric you have just bought is truly special. We enhance the modern weaving process with the ancient art of manually finishing the fabric using the original 'recipe' as in 1700. we manufature our fabrics using exclusively natural raw materials: cashmere, cashgora, South American angora, merino wool, alpaca and mohair either alone or in combination, but what makes it truly special is the way fabrics are finished. It can take up to 70 days to achieve the desired results. The ingredients are spring water and neutal soaps, while for some fabrics the 'napping', by which method is torn out, is still done by using dried thistle blossoms mounted on rotary drums. Added to this is the creativity and skillness of those who transform our fabric into a splendid garment. The red piacenza label, sewn onto this garment, guarantees the worldwide unique quality of the fabric we produce''.
